The Los Angeles Equistrian Center
will be the focus of the dressage
world next April 14-23 as it hosts
the 1995 Volvo World Cup Dressage
Final -- the epitome of musical
freestyle competiton at the Grand

been held outside of Europe, and
according to Director of World Cup

Angeles finals have received more
Eurpoean participant interest and
press coverage than ever before.
To complementn the World Cup, event
organizers are planning a full inter-
national dressage division (CDI) as
well as a show-jumping division and
a Western-riding division. Billed
as "The Festival of the Horse", this
multifaceted equestrian event also
will feature a three-day symposium
with Reiner Klime; seminars with noted
judges, riders, trainers and breeders;
and a country fair.
A maximum of 15 horse-and-rider combinations
may qualify to compete in the World Cup Final;
eight from the Western Eurpoean League,
one Canadian, one title defender, two from
the United States and one wild card chosen
by the World Cup Committee.
