1306.0. "English Riding Barns in Charlotte, N.C.?" by BSMART::BARRETT (Drink your prune juice) Fri Jul 13 1990 12:44

My instructor is considering relocating to Charlotte, N.C. (for
family reasons). (We're in NJ now.) Can anyone give me names of
any barns down there that she might contact to start tracking down
	a job there?

She's an English instructor and is really looking to start making
contacts (i.e. any names you can give would help, as they may lead
	to others.....)

	Any help is appreciated!

	Thanks,

	Sue Barrett

Pat Dowd is the major hunter/jumper trainer in that area. There are
some excellant dressage/event folks up there - what is her specialty.
We are desparate in Columbia for a good instructor (1 Hr away) in
    Hunter/jumper.

	Re .-1

My instructor is hunter/jumper. I don't know if an hour away would be
too much, but I'll ask her.

She would be going to college too, so I guess it would depend on
	where she went.

Thanks for the name - any others or phone numbers? (I figure she can
get the number of Pat by directory assistance?)

    Sue,

Where are you riding right now in NJ? I used to live in the central
part of NJ and love to keep up with the happenings in that area. I
do hope that your instructor will be able to make some good contacts
    in NC.

Right now I ride at a place named Hasty Acres in Kingston, NJ. It's
ok - they have ok school horses, and I can afford it ;-).

I used to ride up at Snowbird (near Hacketstown) and Windy Top.

Where did you ride? Any good places (reasonable $) in central NJ?
If my instructor leaves, I may look for a new place (don't like the
	other instructors at HA).
