| I Jennie, I haven't talked with you in a long time- not since our
days in the Mill - before your horse owning days. That was quite
awhile ago - you were still riding Scribble.
Anyway, I meant reply to your note about the Norfolk show- I was
a volunteer on Saturday, my daughter volunteered on Sunday, as
we have done every year for who knows how long. Wish I had known
you were going to be there.
Anyway, the only suggestion I have is to contact one of the judges
from the show. I believe Betsy Chimento (from Dover) could help
you get in touch with one. Here is another thought- Joe Lombard
from Medway (I could get his number for you) could help you as he
used to do some judging. It's would be a start anyway. And I am
sure he would be most pleased to be of assistance.
I still have my Arabian- Jimmy. Erin doesn't show any more- but
she has been mentioning it lately. She does, however, hunt with
Norfolk and pleasure rides.
Let us know what happens...

| Thanks, Pat, for the info. It is nice hearing from you!
I may give Joe a call, or some of the others I'm vaguely familiar
with. I was really curious about how most judges react if
you call them without knowing them. One time I was at a show,
and heard one judge tell another that they had a learner judge
that day that really didn't know anything - so I'm wondering
how much of this sort of gossip really happens, what really
goes on when a person is a learner judge or steward, etc.
Another way I thought of getting into this, is to become more
involved in AHSA Zone 1 committee work - not sure what's entailed
there, either, but I figured it would give me contacts.
