343.0. "Winter Storage" by PIXEL::DANI () Mon Jul 27 1987 12:56

There may be a better place to post this but I thought I'd give
    it a try here first...

My truck and trailer are not used in the winter. So far I managed
to find a place to garage the truck each year which only peaks out
at the white stuff for an inspection in February. I'd like both
to be out of the elements this year.

Does anyone know of any place with storage or an out building that
would work out? I live in the Nashua, N.H. area and don't feel
that the storage needs to be very close, nor that both need to be
    at the same place.

Covering them up outside is not such a good idea cause it holds
    in dampness.

    Any suggestions welcome.

 Hi Dani!

There are covers available which allow moisture to evaporate. There
are now two covered cars in our yard (one's my brothers) and neighter
have had any problems. One had to be custom made, but it only took
6 weeks to get it. These cars are covered whenever parked outside to
protect them from pine sap etc. If/when I get a trailer, it too will
	get one of these covers.

The covers were order out of an auto place on Main Street Nashua and
we've noticed adds in Horse-related periodicals for trailer covers of
	the same material.

    Thanks Caroline,

Can you tell me the name of the place and perhaps an approxomate
cost for on of the covers?

    Thanks again,
    Dani

I didn't have time to search the periodicals, but the material is
	called:

		Evolution-3

It is a orange-yellow fiberous material impervious to ultra-violet
light, it breaths and stretches (mental picture of a covered car
taking a midwinter stretch and a sigh of relief?? :-))

These covers are not cheaply made, nor are they inexpensive. Eg. RX-7
cover was $110 and a Nova cover was $120. The Nova dwarfs the RX-7,
but the cover for the RX-7 was custom.

Both covers were purchased last fall from D&D Sport Shop in Nashua
across from the Honda bike dealership on Main Street.

	Good Luck!
