The DECcmi product is a subset of the TeMIP OSI Management Toolkit.
It implements the ISO CMIP (Common Management Information
Protocol) protocol stack and provides access to the CMISE (Common Management
Information Service Element), ROSE (Remote Operation Service Element) and ACSE
(Association Control Service Element) services conformant to the ISO/IEC
standards.
DECcmi runs over the Transport layer of DECnet/OSI, via the standard X/Open
XTI (X/Open Transport API) API.
DECcmi is available for Digital UNIX and OpenVMS AXP.
On Digital UNIX, DECcmi offers two APIs to management applications developpers:
* a proprietary CMI/ROS API providing access to the CMISE and ROSE services,
* the Standard X/Open XMP (X/Open Management Protocols) API, not included in
the TeMIP OSI Management Toolkit, available for evaluation purpose only with
limited support from TeMIP Engineering.
On OpenVMS AXP, DECcmi offers the CMI/ROS API only.
DECcmi is associated with the PLC409 ASN.1 compiler.
The available documentation includes:
DECcmi Installation Guide
DECcmi Operator's Guide
DECcmi Programer's Guide
PLC409 User's Manual
