Conference noted::dnu_osi

    A patched dnaevld is available for 4.0A which fixes the following
    two core dumps:
    
    	1) core dump when creating a second outbound stream.
    
    	2) core dump when changing the attributes of a sink while
           it is enabled.
    
    The patched dnaevld is available at:
    
    	netrix::patches/OSF/V4.0A/dnaevld.Z
    
    And it has a patch date of 12-MAR-97 (do "what dnaevld | grep PATCH")
    
    dnaevld is located in directory /usr/sbin

	dna_base.mod:

	This dna_base.mod fixes the following problems with OSI transport :

	1) SMP systems could crash with "tp_cons_input: port id not in use"
	2) System could crash because of a lock heirarchy violation
	3) Delays could occur when multiplexing over TP2
        4) System could crash with "tposi_lock_tconn: socket already locked"
        5) Various kernel memory faults in OSI transport
        6) System would crash when doing a wildcard delete of OSI ports
        7) A wildcard delete of OSI ports would only delete a single port
	   unless a "with" clause was added

	In addition, more debugging capabilities have been added, OSI 
	transport can now handle up to 65534 connections, and a more
	robust algorithm is now being used for disconnecting ports.

    When remotely logged into a system via dlogin, with ksh as the
    login shell, if the connection is cut, then the children of the
    login shell will not be killed as they should be.  The following
    .profile and test script illustrate the problem:

    A patched dlogind is available at netrix::patches/OSF/V3.2B/dlogind
    
    dlogind is located in /usr/sbin, and must be setuid root
    
    The patched dlogind has a patch date of
    6-APR-97 (do "what dlogind | grep PATCH")
    
    Note that this problem does not exist on 4.0.
                                                 

A memory leak in OSI transport was fixed.

available for both V3.2B and V4.0A
