2399.0. "CP v3.1 and ASRV 8400..." by VAXRIO::MAURO () Fri Feb 28 1997 16:06

    Hi,

    I have a customer who has AlphaServer 8400 5/350 model type 1301 and
    AlphaServer 2100 5/300 model type 1185. When he tryes to use Polycenter
    Capacity Planner v3.1 it doesn't seems to deal pretty well with those
    type of CPUs.

    Could you give some tips about how to configure the software to support
    them? Or even give me a pointer about what manual has the informations I
    need.

    Thanks, Mauro Aquino, MCS/CSC-Brazil.

Look at note 10.
2399.2.DBA files. Where?VAXRIO::MAUROFri Feb 28 1997 16:417
    I'm not sure if the informations in .10 can help me.

    I already known that what I need are updated .DBA files with info about the
    systems I described in .0. The matter is where to get these files?

    Waiting for a pointer. Regards and thanks, Mauro.

2399.3Where to get the .DBA file...VAXRIO::MAUROFri Feb 28 1997 17:015
    I found the file I need in CPDEV::PUBLIC:[ECP032]. I found this pointer
    thru the COMEt article titled "ECP V3.1 needs .DBA files w/Alpha 8400/
    8200/2100 & VAX 7800 #'s"

    Mauro.

Sorry I missed that you were asking a CP question in the DECPS conference.
For CP questions you need to use DISCOS::OPENCP. The latest version of ECP
is V4.0.

    Jilly,

    I apolozige about to use this conference to ask questions about Cp. It
    was the unique reference I had about Capacity Planning. I didn't known
    about the OPENCP conference.

    Thanks a lot.

    Mauro.
