1693.0. "Digital jersey" by ABACUS::GUYER () Thu Aug 09 1990 13:34

    I missed the Digital Jersey order, as apparently many others did.
    Going through that note is quite a trip. It looks though, that there
    might be a need for a Sale or swap note so I would like to say that I
    would like to have a Jersey (XL I think) if anyone wants to part with
    one that size. Send mail or call 264-4579

1693.1Any unwanted XL's?THEWAV::KRUEGERThu Aug 09 1990 22:159
    I too would be interested in the purchase of a DIGITAL jersey (unused
    or slightly used) in XL. I'm new to DEC and was very excited when I
    was reading references to Jerseys. I wanted one badly. Unfortunately,
    I read the Saga-of-the-Jersey and can only dream. You can contact me
    at THEWAV::KRUEGER or DTN 533-3901.

    Thnx,

	I wonder if Tom could be persuaded to make just one more purchase.
	Every man has his price. We just have to find what would make Tom
	go through it just one more time. It can't be that much trouble
	considering the experience he has.

Add my name to that list also. I'm planning on doing the Oceanside
Bike Fest '90 for MS on Sept 23rd and would like to have one (mine
or borrowed, if possible) for the event. Seems reasonable since
DEC is 'co-sponsoring' with matching contributions.

I wear a size large tee shirt (42-44) whatever that translates to.
The ride is on Sept 23rd. Could they be available by then?

Ray.

    Put me down for one (if this ever happens!). I also wear a large (42ish).

    Whoa, folks. Before you go out and pressure Tom to make another
    order, you might consider volunteering to do it yourselves.
    Consider carefully how much work it takes, knowing that you're
    likely to find another, Digital-approved vendor.

Thank you, MATT. I guess you people don't get the idea behind my personal name.
I will have nothing to do with the next order of DEC cycling jerseys except
introduce a DECcie to the vendor and have him/her be the next go between. The
DECverndor is on vacation and I'll see if he wants to go through with another
order. Due to Schnaubelts goof with the logo ending up in their catalog and
such, the DECvendor that sub-contracted them is prety pissed off about this
whole project.

I'll see next Tuesday 14-Aug, if its possible for another run and what the
damage will be.

    	I be suggestin' 'dat any individual who leaves their T-shirt

    	by a screenful of oversized shotgun barrel in their face.

    	not ever visualized the look on your face when this 'ticular

    	Your past efforts indeed be commendable, and I can only hope

1693.13Can it happen???FINLEY::FINLEYMon Nov 12 1990 17:0920
It's been since last Spring that I have wanted a Digital jersey badly. I
would like to take responsibility (headaches) for this myself if possible.
I would appreciate any information on how to facilitate this process (ie.
any names of persons I need/must contact). I do not mind being the focus
for ordering for many people. I live/work in Atlanta. Out of my immediate
group there 5-6 people who want jerseys. I'm sure that out of the
couple'o'thousand here in ATO, ATL and ALF there will be a handful more. I
don't mind ordering for people elsewhere as long as it will be somewhat
financially feasible. After all, I am a poor stockholder.

Could someone point me in the direction to get started. It's time to renew
the license and mount the wind trainer. I would like to pop out in the
Spring with something new.

Curious,

Byron Finley

    	I guess one does indeed have to contact Ms. Sacco, cause...

    	I went into the Logo Store in MRO1, and the kind woman there
    	had never heard of the words "Pearl Izumi". She had no idea
    	what the heck I was talking about, and threatened to call security
    	if I didn't stop asking her about AXP logos on Pearl Izumi shirts.

    	I was then bounced out of the store, accused of subversive intent,
    	and banished from the logo store until I consult psychiatric care.

    	And I wanted was to see the Pearl Izumi shirts, oh well...

1693.19 CUTE...WMOIS::GIROUARD_CFri Jun 11 1993 09:598
     Is it the commodity or the store itself? I know ours (WMO) will
    no longer be supported by DEC personnel. Tobin's has agreed to
    assume the responsibility (with a cut given to DEC).

     Now, with the state of this bldg. having a bid on on it I'm not sure
    what will happen.

    The jerseys are really nice. They are $25. The HLO logo store
    does not take cash, only checks. The store is open every day
    from 12:00 - 1:00. Today there was a somewhat limited supply.

They are standard Pearl Izume Biue jersey with the Pearl Izume logo across the
shoulders.

The AXP logo ins in Black on the left side of the chest.

Plain if you ask me because the logo does not stand out. But a Peral Shirt for
$25.00 is a great deal if that is teh price.
