    So what are you riding on this year? Just a post? :-)

    I like to save a few grams here and there, but even I draw the line!

    Chip :-)
2946.2How about the Integra?DECWET::TEAGUEWindows NT Distributed SystemsThu Apr 27 1995 16:189

    And another question for Mr. San Marco...

    So tell us about the new "Integra", the saddle without rails...any
    experience with it? Second-hand info is positive, with the exception
    that you can't attach your typical under-the-seat pack.

    I've gotten traditional, now that the San Marco Regal is available in
    Ti. I guess the only anatomy I share with Lemond is where I sit, since
    he used this also.

    As for the Integra -- too much flex for road (for me), but Julie
    Furtado seems to be using one for MTB this year.

    I ride a regal also. Have you seen the new regal Attive saddle? They
    have married the regal shell and shape to a active suspension bottom.
    Zinn in Velonews rated it highly.

    I've seen the Attive, and I like the idea (having already "felt" it in
    the 600 series saddles). However, I found that there was already
    plenty of shock absorption in the Ti Regal. In fact, there's enough
    flex in the Ti rails that I'm using a standard steel rail Regal for my
    TT bike. The TT bike has a Triathlon-style forward seatpost, which
    already has some flex in it, and with a Ti saddle it's just too
    springy, especially when I'm hammering in the big gears.

    BTW, I think Zinn is one of the better equipment evaluators in cycling
    journalism.

2946.6Concor LiteCOOKIE::MUNNSdaveTue Mar 19 1996 15:444
    Anyone try the Concor Lite saddle by San Marco ? I noticed that it is
    available for $30 through Colorado Cyclist and that they are putting it
    on their road and mtb offerings. It weighs-in at around 200 grams.
    Comments on comfort & durability welcome here.
