    Hi folks,

    I've got a Cannondale M600 with FORCE-40 braking system.

    Thks in advance for advices.

    Christian,

I just assembled a M700 for myself and ran into the same problem. Since I
was not familiar with this new brake system, I had one of the mechanics
show me the best way to adjust them.

    1. Make sure the brake cable housing holder in midway between the one
       brake caliper and the pulley.

                                __ \

                             / O O \ \
                           / OO \ \
                         / [__]<-Holder
                       / ______ \
                     / - | | _ \
                     -----| | |RIM | | |_____ \
                           - | | - ^
                                          |
                                        Calipers

    2. Dial the barrel adjuster on the brake level all the way in.

    3. Use a toe clip strap or a third hand to hold the brake pads against
       the rim.

    4. Adjust the cables and tighten all the nuts and bolts.

    5. Remove the strap or 3rd hand and dial the cable tension by using
the barrel adjuster on the brake lever.

    6. There is also a small adjustment allen screw on one of the calipers
equalize the spring tension if needed.

    7. You are done!!!!

       Good Luck!

       Dave
