1634.0. "riding partners" by ABACUS::GUYER () Wed Jul 11 1990 12:57

I am looking for riding partners. I live in Bedford N.H. 2 miles north
of 101. I can ride most any evening or weekend and like to ride every
day if the weather allows. My typical rides are 10 to 30 miles in
length. My pace is usually 13 to 16 miles/hr since it is fairly hilly
in that area, however, I will try to keep up with anyone (within
reason), or slow down if necessary. I am willing to drive a reasonable
distance to hook up with other people. It's hard staying motivated riding
alone. My weekend rides are getting longer and I would like to complete
at least one century this year.

If anyone is available I would love to hear from you.

Hi,

I'd recommend joining and riding with the Granite State Wheelmen. There
are many rides offered in this area.

If the weather holds... this Thursday there is a ride leaving at 6PM from
the Reeds Ferry School in Merrimack. There tends to be a variety of abilities
and riders at this ride.

I also would like to get together with other riders in the Southern
N.H. area for either evening or weekend rides of 20 to 30 mile rides.

My goal is to do a century this September. I am also enjoying Mountain
biking and spent three hours last weekend riding around the trails atBear Brook
State Park. It was a ball! The trail around Lake Massabesic south of
Manchester is also great; about 2 hours to go around it.

How do I get in touch with Granite State Wheelmen in the Londonderry
    area?

Thanks for the recommendation Dani. I am a member of GSW and was thinking
of doing that ride this week. I did a ride with the club in exeter
last Sunday, 39 miles. I'd like to cover more days and perhaps have
    more schedule flexibility.

1634.4When, Where and How Far???ABACUS::QUINNETTWed Jul 18 1990 20:2915
Earl, I live in New Boston and work at MKO. I would be happy
to accompany you on some rides. My usual ride is approx. 20
miles (in to work). Recently I've been riding both ways so I
only ride that distance every other day. A + or - 20 mile ride
on the weekend or after work sounds real good to me.

I haven't really been riding with anyone else (wife occasionally)
and would enjoy the company. Lord knows I could use a push now and
then too. I know some pretty nice routes out in Bennington,
Francestown etc. I'm sure you know some good ones too. Give
me a call and we can plan something.

Hi. I too am from New Boston and am at about the same level of riding
as the previous notes. I try to ride with the Granite State Wheelmen
on Sundays, but try to get out in New Boston area on Saturdays. If
you all would like company to ride on Saturday morning or afternoon,
    give me a holler!

    Regards,
    Denis
