| There's a metric century that circumnavigates Lake Winnie, it's
generally considered to be hilly. There are several towns so you can
stop and eat. Try to do it before the week of the motorcycle races in
Loudon, after that there's too much traffic and that week you go deaf.

| We did the Lake a couple of times last summer and will do so again
several more this year. It's between 60 and 65 miles total distance;
we usually drive up (we live in Newburyport, MA) to Alton Bay and
leave the car there, then ride clockwise around the lake. The stretch
from Weir's Beach through Meredith to Center Harbor has a couple of
challenging hills, but nothing too terrible.
Depending on the pace you set you can make Wolfeboro in time for a
late-ish lunch. It's a very pretty ride, but if you have a choice,
go during the week; if you must do it on a weekend, take Sunday over
Saturday. Otherwise the traffic is just too brutal and there's not
much of a should to ride on in places.
