** Mt Bike Time Trial in Holden, 11/5 **

For anyone interested in honing their Mt Biking skills and testing
themselves against local talent, there is going to be a Mt Bike
time trial this Sunday (Nov 5) in Holden MA. The race course is
a 5 mile course on cross country ski trails through the Trout Brook
Recreation area. The race starts at 10 AM and costs $5 - T-Shirts
are available. The race is sponsored by the Worchester Road Club
    & Bicycle Alley.

Take the Rt 140N exit off I190 in West Boylston,
head north and turn left at the blinking yellow light onto Legg
Rd. Turn Right at the end of Legg Rd and go 1.3 miles; Trout Brook
    is on the right.

** Sho & Go Rides from West Boylston **

Fritz from Fritz's Bike shop in West Boylston told me
this week that there will be show & go Mt Bike rides from his shop
each Sunday this fall & winter at about 9:00. Call the shop the
Saturday before the ride for info.

      Re: .2

I changed the tube after I got back from the race on Sunday
and found a single hole in the tube directly under the tread. I'm
not sure what caused the flat.

Since I've only been Mt biking for a short time I don't have
any experience with flat tires. From speaking with several of the
experienced riders I'm told that I should only expect about 1 flat
for every few hundred rides...I guess I've filled my quota for the
    next couple years. :-)
