These were the hottest banana-seat bikes on the street when I was
a kid. Hearing their names yesterday brought on a Proustian
recollection of my lust for one, and my envy for any kid who
had one. I never thought of it before, but these would make
great collector's items -- they're true classics of the late
    sixties.

Wow what a flash, the wheelies are coming back. The 5 speed Sting-Ray
with a giant shifter 12" long mounted on the top tube. As I remember
it they also had a spring loaded fork in front. I never had one but
road many of my friends. Busted many spokes doing things we never
should have. That shifter sterilized many young men. You were indeed
cool to own one, instant status with the chicks.

I hope you find one, good luck.

What about the Lemon Peeler? Didn't that model round out the
triumvirate? These were indeed, cool bikes. If I remember
correctly, they came stock with a wide slick in the back.
Unfortunately, I had to make do with a Schwinn Typhoon...somewhat
    pedestrian, but handled curbs well.
