1968.0. "Audi wheels" by 45252::NODDLE (Keith Noddle DSM Engineering (774-6184)) Wed Dec 09 1992 16:43

    Hi,

I'm reasonably new to this conference, but I have searched and dir'd
and etc etc to no avail - please bear with me if I've missed the
    appropriate note.

I'm in the process of buying an Audi 90 - the 2 litre, fuel-injected
version. Now, I've always liked to look of the Audi alloy wheels they
put on the "better" models (unfortunately, my pocket isn't that
deep...) so, I thought that perhaps I might buy a set. Now, whilst I
haven't acutally enquired of VAG how much they are, I can guess :-(

So, to the question: does anyone know of an alternative source of
wheels I could try? I ask the question because I remember a Top Gear
article on BMWs a while back where they named a company who supplied
all sorts of BMW spares and accessories at a fraction of the BMW prices
and I wondered if there was a VAG equivalent?

    Thanks,

    Keith Noddle.

    P.S. I'm part-ex'ing a really nice, low mileage, C-reg Metro 1.3 HLE
and an utterly reliable, rust-free (yes, rust free for a 10 year old) ,
X-reg Honda Accord hatch within the week, so if anyone felt inclined to
a reasonable offer that would allow me to re-negotiate the price of my
    "new" car, based on cash...?

Just buy a car magazine, there's always plenty of places offering
alloy wheels, at anything from 40 to 60 pounds. Mine are compomotive
and they've lasted well, they're still looking good after 5 years
	on the road.

Oh, I forgot Shadow Racing down Rose Kiln Lane. They've got
	a pretty good range...
