1952.0. "MotorRail" by YUPPY::PATEMAN (TOCA - Take Our Cocaine Abroad) Tue Nov 17 1992 11:26

Sorry if this is covered else where but.....

Has anybody got any recent experiences of using MotorRail to Scotland?
I remember a few horror stories a couple of years back about cars
getting damaged by stuff thrown from bridges etc. Any comments from
users in the past year or so would be appreciated.

I've used Motorail on Friday nights coming back from Aberdeen to London
    - I thought the service was excellent, apart from the bunk beds being
rather short, but then again I'm rather long!

... oh and the other thing is that cars travel in closed goods vans, so
you also get a dry car at the other end as a small bonus!

Re: .0

You information is *very* old. It is many years ago that BR stopped using
open wagons to carry the cars. As .2 says, they go in enclosed vans.
