1497.0. "Too late as usual" by SUBURB::ALLYS (Reality... No Digital !!) Wed Jul 10 1991 14:25

Did anybody else actually take part in this ??

On Friday I found a yellow sticky attached to my windscreen with a
phone number. Unfortunately I was'nt able to call them until today,
turned out to be not an admirer but a market research group interested
in the type of car, they wanted me to test drive a number of similar cars
    last weekend.

Did anybody else get any similar messages and actually attend, sounded
    quite interesting.

So am I to understand that a group of people wandered round the DEC car park,
"admiring" people's cars, putting notices on those deemed suitable, presumably
without DEC's permission, and apparently without being hastily ushered off the
premises by security?

Looks like this place would be a car thief's haven!

Probably why the XR2 next me this morning in the DECPARK carpark put a
    handbrake lock jobby on.

I was approached by someone offering the opportunity to attend the
Lower Early "bash". This was last week at Shire Hall. My car is
a Renault 5 GT Turbo, and the researcher seemed particularly interested
in approaching "owners" of this model. This was borne out by the fact
that my colleague, also a R5 GTT driver had the Yellow Sticky left on
the windscreen. Perhaps the Clio 16V was on test ??

As we both normally work in Warrington, we weren't able to attend the
event. I'd be interested in what I missed (or avoided as the case may
    be).

Hmmm

I think I'm being discriminated against. I didn't get a yellow sticky.
They obviously thought becuase I drive a metro I wouldn't be able to give fair
comment on these inferior cars being tested :-)
