Has anyone out there had an MI16 converted to unleaded? My current car, which is an MI16 is coming to the end of its lease and I'm fancying another one. The performance on mine has been terrific running on leaded, I would be interested to see how it performs on unleaded. A great car performance wise...shame about the infamous Peugoet Inattention to detail... Joe

Garry, You wouldn't happen to have done more than 50,000 miles and not had the timing belt changed (which is not scheduled by Peugeot) by any chance? Colin

Colin, Very possible, still 1400 for a timing belt seems quite cheap ;-( why wouldn't that be part of a normal service at or around 50k, and why not at least mention it should be done ? Was it mentioned in the handbook ? I must admit I didn't read it. Hope I don't suffer the same problems on the new car, ( Guess what I'm going to read tonight ). Skint of Munich.

Garry, It was mentioned recently in Motor, in a buying secondhand comparison between the Golf, 205 and R5T. Also, it happened to one of the guys here with a 1.6 GTi. As to why Peugeot don't mention it, I've no idea. Colin |
