Any new readers got any experience with Gilbern's?
I've just found the ultimate basket case. Totally dismantled Gilbern
Invader Mk.II, 1971. Even the Essex lump is dismantled, but the whole
plot seems complete & has masses of receipts for new goodies,
including s/s exhaust.
Looks interesting, & is dry-stored. I've bid little money, & am not
entirely sure I can face 3 years of rebuild ..........got too many
projects already!
Anyone want to convince me that it's an offer I can't refuse?

Funny you should mention the Invader. I went car booting yesterday
looking for car bits and bobs, not spares but books, that sort
of thing.
I purchised an Orbis weekly publication from 1973 called "On four
Wheels". The whole publication is complete except that the collector
didn't bother obtaining the remaining binders so there are only four,
but each and every magazine is there. In 1973 the mags were 30p each.
The whole collection is mint and probably worth an awful lot more than
what I paid for it.
Anyway I remember while flicking through the pages that there was quite
a bit of data on the Invaders (all of them). If you are interested I'll
make you some photo copies (without permission).
Let me know.

Many thanks for the tip.
As it happens I've got On 4 Wheels at home. Must try & find the
index.... another happy evening about to vanish.
BTW, I've been collecting car/motorcycle/model engineering books &
magazines for over 30 years. Have literally got tens of thousands ..
all the data anyone could ever want, but never able to find a
particular article when you need it! Duplicates galore, if books etc
are your scene.
