| Undisclosed problems at Bugatti : the board of directors and Paolo
Stanzani reached a point of STRONG disagreement a couple of weeks
ago. As a result Paolo Stanzani has left.
The current schedule is : engine is working, 4WD is designed,
lightweight shell, platform, body development is unknown. Car may
be previewed at Paris Show this oct. Public launch and 1st deliveries
in 1991.
Departure of Stanzani may well affect the development and the schedules.

465.7 | 15th Sep the new Bugatti should appear | ULYSSE::CHEVAUX | Patrick Chevaux @VBE, DTN 828-5584 | Fri Sep 06 1991 13:48 | 12 |
| More details:
The new EB110 (final name ?) will be introduced at the old Bugatti
factory in Molsheim during a 3 day fiesta 13-15th sept. The theme will
be around the 110th anniversary of Ettore Bugatti birthdate.
The factory should be open to visitors on the Sunday 15th Sep. I'm sure
the new car will be visible then. The town of Molsheim will participate
in the anniversary.
Molsheim is located in Alsace, some 30 km south west of Strasbourg
approximately.

Not far from the Schlumpf museu in Mulhouse, which will probably
want to add the EB110 to its huge collection of Bugattis.

465.9 | it's real ! | ULYSSE::CHEVAUX | Patrick Chevaux @VBE, DTN 828-5584 | Mon Sep 16 1991 14:18 | 14 |
| All french TV programmes have shown the new EB110 which was rolled out
of the Molsheim factory last saturday (14-Sep-1991). Painted French
racing blue it differs slightly from the various prototypes that have
been seen this year. The lines are from Marcello Gandini and are
smoother than those of the protos.
No doubt that all auto mags will have a story and photos very soon.
Apparently the Bugatti is the sum of waht is to be found in the other
supercars : 4WD, 300+kph, 3.5 ltr quad turbo engine, 18" wheels. A
world premiere is the carbon/kevlar chassis. At the intro they did not
say whether the production cars will have carbon brakes or not.
Price: 3-4 MFF

Thanks,
From my recollection, most racing tyres are not road legal (even if
they have tread), but no doubt someone will build tyres this big
if there's a demand provided the profit is big enough (even if it
is in PR value).
Mark
PS I wonder if Micheldever have got any in yet? :^)

465.15 | (bad) news | LEMAN::CHEVAUX | Patrick Chevaux @GEO, DTN 821-4150 | Fri Jul 28 1995 20:49 | 15 |
| Some (bad) news:
- Bugatti are not going well. They need some cash in order to move
forward but conventional investors are not terribly interested.
- The EB112 project is stalled because of lack of funds. Giugiaro is
not really happy about this since he has been a partner in this
venture. Should the project be cancelled he loses everything.
- Bugatti is a formidable expertise center, so the bargaining may just
be a conspiration in order to acquire the company at a good price.
- the Lotus deal also collapsed. Lotus is still owned by Bugatti.
- stay tuned ...
