Hi all ! I have a serious question to ask. I know from the notes posted in this file that there are a lot of wise and learned people about. My lease car will be due for changing in the next 3-4 months and I thought I should turn my mind to it's replacement. I currently drive a BMW 325i two door. I have enjoyed it greatly. It is fast and reasonably stable ( for a 3xx BMW). The headroom and space in the back seats are somewhat limited. I don't want to spend more than 4700 unless I *really **HAVE** to* 100% max is 5000. what would you suggest ? My ideals are 1. Reasonably fast less than 10 sec 0 - 60mph. 2. Reasonable top speed minimum 100mph . 3. 4/5 doors. 4. Electric windows and sunroof. 5 PAS. 6. reasonable space for 5 adults. 7. Should be able to pull a medium sized caravan without dying. 8. Automatic would be nice. I realise that no car will be as quick as the BMW I have now but I guess I am now looking for something little different. Any one care to propose some cars or best method of selecting one ??? Mark

Go for the "cheap car on lease" + "wife in real car during the week" option. My old manager did this with a 190 Merc' as his 'company car' and a Rolls Silver Shadow as his 'wifes' car. | |||||
