104.0. "Window - Interior Shutters" by TYGER::SMITH () Mon Feb 20 1989 12:09

    Does anyone know a source for INTERIOR raised-panel shutters (in
    the Southern NH, northern MA area - or perhaps mail-order?)?

      What size? Summerville Lumber in Pelham has(had) a few sizes of
    unfinished raised panel doors (various kitchen cabinet sizes). If
    I remember correctly, they were made of pine and were in the $25-$30
    range.

    I was looking at them in the Westboro Somerville, and the person
    on duty said that they would also order whatever size you require.

    There is a mail-order curtain co. called Period Creations that sells
    them, you just send them the window measurements. They charge by
    the square foot. If I still have the catalog at home, I will post
    address, but I think they advertised in Yankee or New England monthly.

104.4PLANTATION SHUTTERS , anywhere ??57838::LALIBERTEPSG/IAE - OGOMon Jan 22 1996 17:4810
    I recently toured a home that had interior shutters on their
    windows and i would like to find the same kind.

    They were different than what I have seen: the slats are a good 1 1/2
    inch wide as opposed to the average 3/4 inch on other shutter types.
    Very different look.

    They were called PLANTATION SHUTTERS. Has anyone seen them for sale
    anywhere ? These people said Home Depot but I haven't gotten there
    yet. I have alread tried Somerville Lumber and HQ.

    Not sure where you are (Stow?), but down here in GA they can be had at
    HD and just about any interior decorating store. Bring your wallet, as
    they are not cheap.

I tried looking up "plantation shutters" with altavista, but no luck. there
were 9000 hits, but the first 30 were for real estate and I didn't feel like
looking through the rest.
