This is the last NEW note that will be WRITTEN in Home_work for a while because
most "new" notes will be moved to existing topics where they're already addressed.
Use the directory in 6.3 to find your topic or type DIR/TITLE=foobar
Save yourself some aggravation and use the REPLY command (to the proper note)
instead of the WRITE command, thus necessitating moderator action in moving
your note to someplace where you have to go looking for it while the moderators
are sending you mail telling you where it went

Since the consolidation, there are some *very* large notes. I was
just in the Ceiling note (#12) and noticed it had nearly 700 replies.
This makes finding information a bit cumbersome, to say the least.
If someone encounters one of these notes, one way to locate
pertinant information is to do a series of SEARCH commands. For
example, someone had asked a question about peeling skim coat.
I did a SEARCH "peel"/NOTE=12.1-12.l. This will locate the first
reply in note 12 with the word "peel" in it. If that doesn't have what
I'm looking for, type in SEARCH and it will continue from that point or
until the last reply is reached.
This is still a bit cumbersome, but much better than trying to read
every reply. There isn't too much we can do (as moderators) about this
situation. The propogation of many new identical topics is what you're
seeing the result of.
