20.0. "Fans - Window/Tabletop" by TOOK::MORRISON (Bob M. LKG1-3/A11 226-7570) Thu Feb 02 1995 16:46

I need to buy a portable electric fan, about 10 inches in diameter. My
office is hot year-round and I need to run a fan to keep it cool. The fan I
have, which was very cheap and is 7 years old, just died. So I need to buy a
new one NOW, and that is the problem. The dept stores don't offer them for
sale until April or May.
Any suggestions on where I can buy this type of fan now? I am in the
Littleton, MA area.

Is there one in the Lowell area? My Lowell phone book is 18 months old. I
know there are several on route 9 between Natick and Worc., but that is too
far for me to go.

I got lucky and found a suitable fan at the local hardware store. They even
escorted me into the stockroom to look at it.
  For future reference:

Is it north or south of I-495?

The Home Depot on Rte 38 in Tewksbury is located directly off 495.

    You can't miss it.

There is also a Home Depot in Nashua, NH. If you are ever going to buy
an expensive item I would suggest going there to save on tax.

Take the South Nashua exit (# 36 I believe) off Rte 3 North
and take a left at the lights. Home Depot is about 1/4 mile
on the right down a small hill.

You can't miss this one either.

I you are traveling 495N, the Home Depot is directly in front of you
when you come around the exit ramp. If you are coming from 495S, then
you'll have to get on Rt38 East and Home Depot will be on your right.
