324.0. "Glass blocks" by SVCRUS::KROLL () Fri Aug 29 1986 12:47

    Does anyone know where to get glass blocks and the morter to use
    with it. I had 4 windows installed in my basement and would like
    to do the same for my bathrooms. The place I got the windows from
    won'ts $8 for a block and I think that is too high, especially when
    I need 40 of them. Any place close to Maynard would be nice but
    it will pay to go further if the price is right.

    Also is there any special tricks I sould know about putting them
    togeather.

Home Depot or any similar building supply store will have them and the
material for joining them (nowadays a silicone caulk).

324.3Use cement for outdoor use (silicone is indoor)FOUNDR::SKABOExpect Nothing U never disappointedMon Jan 15 1996 15:189
       	I had 2 large glass (3.5' x 6') block windows put in 4 years ago. I
    helped the builder and we used the white cement, with steel grids and
    plastic spacers, as the silicone caulk is for indoor use. They also have
    a video on installing it (I have a copy if you need to borrow it...).

    	HD and HQ I think have the std. 6"x6" blocks for $3 +/- if my
    memory is correct.

    Good luck....
