fyi... an other ODBC. Two folks mentioned it.

SolutionsIQ (http://www.solutionsiq.com) has a product, called Connx,
for ODBC with RMS. We have been using the product for about one year
(lightly, though, only certain reports have been ported to this
approach)

The product itself is easy to set-up, and the clients are a breeze to
use and
configure.

Hello -

We are using the SolutionsIQ CONNX product to develop applications
that utilize our VMS files/data on a windows NT 4.0 server.

It's pretty simple to set up a system DSN (ODBC) connection to
our RMS files. One thing we do, though, is layout the file on
our VMS system in CDD format (ala datatrieve dtr$dir). Then connx
imports that info directly and sets up a connx CDD. At this point,
creating the ODBC connection is trivial.

Also, if you like you can access files using the API, with such
connx functins as rmsgetbykey() and rmsopen().

Hope that helps - let me know if you would like some more info

I replied to the original poster to avoid charges of spamming, but here goes.

Yes, I work for them. We do an ODBC server that runs on VMS, u**x, and WNT,
and accesses indexed files. (on u**x and NT we use our proprietary ISAM
system).
