I heard it sold out on day one - well almost - there was only 100
tickets left at 2p.m. and the shop was still packed with bodies after
tickets - 25 quid seems steep though.

Prestwick was ment to have been a good venue, can't comment on
the music because I wasn't there but the line-up was pretty
dross, Bassheads, Oceanic, Altern8 and the DJ's were of a
    	lower standard as well.

It looks like they will be holding more there soon anyway.

to be *the* name in rave organisation and planned on taking over the UK

Was at "ESOTERIC" last night...(well this morning), at the Forum in
Livingston. Brill gig, lightshow must've cost a bomb...dead impressed.
Best band goes to "BADMAN"... kept the crowd going all during there
set. Worst band...cant remember theyre name but I'd call them the
"Three screaming bimbos"... (meeeoooww)..cant sing a note between them
but they looked good and kept all the male members of the crowd
    slavering for 20mins..!

Guest appearance was "Fred Flintstone"...alias Mick the Manager from
Melvilles doing what looked like an aerobic workout on the stage..!
All DJs played a varied selection...not too much hardcore this time.
    No bouncy castles this time..!

    ***********************************************************************
Checkout next weeks Sunday papers for a different review of the night...
    ***********************************************************************

(this is my 10 pence worth on a subject thats getting my goat just
now.. anybody else feel the same?)

The press are ramming it into everyones heads at the moment that if you
go for a 12hour dance night out with no booze, you MUST be on drugs. Id
like to add that when entering the Forum, EVERYONE gets a full body
search... What the papers dont describe is the brilliant atmosphere in the
hall, everyone's really friendly towards each other..no fighting etc..
Meanwhile 7 miles down the road the pubs are emptying in Bathgate....
Hasn't been a bad night.. only 1 guy tumblered for talking to some
jealous guys girlfriend, 2 shop windows smashed, and Bathgate and
Blackburn have started a riot at the steelyard.... Now thats my idea of
a good night... Shame the papers are not interested in these "trival"
things. They are also pointing out X amount of people have died taking
Ecstacy over the last few months. But how many people die in the same
period of time due to Alcohol abuse and smoking...these 2 things are
also things I'd class as "drugs"....make it a habit and it becomes
addictive. The more you take, the more you'll need next time...
Im not "FOR" drugs...but I just get a bit peeved off when one guy
admits it to the press that he takes whatever and enjoys it, then the
rest of the people at the Rave MUST be the same. Get a grip guys.

I can agree with some of the point in the previous note, but I'll
add a few of my own.

	- While, of course, not everybody at one of the events is using
drugs, a sizable proportion are. I'm not criticising, live and
let live and all, but I can see why the press, who always beef
things up a little make this generalization.

	- Body searches, this isn't just for drugs, its for knives or
various other offensive weapons. A lot of the stewards I've
talked to couldn't care about drugs coming in.

I agree about the point that all the newspapers point out are
the negative aspects of the events, but thats par for the course
	is it not.

	Gary.

I bought a pint Lager & Lime (shame) about 10 years ago in a rock venue
in Edinburgh. The barman realised that he had forgotten to leave room
for the Lime, so without hesitation, he took a swig off my pint, and
    thus created the space needed.

The atmosphere there was distinctly aromatic.

Club Solution at the Calton Studios in Edinburgh costs 7 quid to get
into. For that you get at least 2 DJ's (The regular ones are Waxman and
EGGY) and a (usually) decent band.

And one of the guys that MC's there on occasion is pretty damned hot
    too.

Anyway here's a rundown on sadly (sniff sniff) the last AWESOME gig at
the Forum, Livi...And what a way to go it was! Everyone gave this one
the maximum 110%...stomping from 8 till 7am, then going balistic in the
last hour. Dont think anyone wanted to leave the gig or the night to
end. P.A wise New Atlantic were excellent, The hypnotist average.
Lighting show and dancers brill as were ALL the Djs (for a change).
The stage show had surprises throughout the night of fireworks lighting
the whole front hall up and various lasers doing great effects. All in
all AWESOME deserve 11/10 for this one... watch this space for new and
bigger things to come from them in March/April. Doubt if there will be
any more gigs in the Forum as Marcos' has taken it over and are
putting alot of money into it to improve lesuire facilities.

    RE: .40

If you missed the last EuroDance, then try the one on the 27th of
this month. I did have a flyer for this but have given it away, if I
remember correctly SL2 and Praga Khan will be there (if the last one
is anything to go by, I didn't hear many great reports, "it was
    alright!")

I did think on going to this but between holiday spending money
and last Saturday's "Earthquaker" going ahead at New Cummnock, I don't
    have the finances.

Talking about "Earthquaker", DEA are considering another ~similair~
rave for the future due the great success at Cummnock. 10,000
eventually turned up and WHAT A NIGHT !!!
As usual, New Atlantic were superb but, Dream Frequency were absolutely
BRILLIANT!!! They managed to get all 10,000 bouncing and screaming to
one beat in amongst a spectacular lazer and light show. If another
one does go ahead, make a definate booking as this was VERY HARD TO
    BEAT!

    Mark.

PS. An "in-depth" report is on Scottish news this evening, the
camera's were there all night so I think this could be worth
