| I'll agree with most the of the ones mentioned - especially Phil Collins
The Streisand flowers thing was with Neil diamond tho' I think ...
Another BS favourite is from "A Star is Born" near the end
whe she sings "Are you watching me now ...." as the crowd hold
matches/lighters etc cos Chris Thingy has died... sniff sniff
From the Paul Simon Song Book - "Side of a Hill" very
weepy about a small dead child ... and a little cloud weeps
on the side of a hill .... mush city
Thin Lizzy - "got to give it up" - wish PL had - he might still be
here crooning good tunes :-(
and ... and... and .... lots of soppy songs

For me, there is...
"Sacrificial Bonfire" - XTC
"Supper's Ready" - Genesis
(the last movement in particular - the "Can't you feel our
souls ignite?" part; I think that -is- "As Sure as Eggs...",
actually...)
"It Doesn't Matter" - Depeche Mode
The second side of "Before and After Science" - Brian Eno
"Hello, Earth" - Kate Bush

| Another vote for Biko - apparently PG cant hold back the tears when
he sings it, too. He seems to have the ability to produce this feeling
of being overwhelmed in a lot of his music (Family Snapshot is another)
and it was something Genesis lost as soon as he left them.
Roy Harper has done one or two good snifflemakers in his time, too.
Hallucinating Light off HQ is one, Goodbye off Flat Baroque and berserk

A vote too for Breathing, by Kate Bush, featuring Roy Harper on
backing vocals towards the end (what are we going to do)

A couple more from me, while I'm in here:

- "Have You Ever Loved a Woman" - EC (as Derek and the Dominoes)
- "One More Night" - Dave Edmunds (obscure, but great - off of DE7 LP)
- "Cause We've Ended As Lovers" - Jeff Beck (and there aren't even any words!)
- and there is a song from the 'Dreamgirls' soundtrack (last song at the end
of the first act - can't remember the title) that will send shivers down
my spine whenver I hear it
A pretty small list. A song has to be pretty special to evoke deep feeling
