    Goodbye Flultie

Thanks for the good memories as a Patriot, you deserve a
better chance as a QB,not a signal caller for two over the
    hill QB's.

Any team that wants a quarterback who can "win". As long as
there's a running back who can gain 120+ yards and a defense that
allows the opponents less than 10 points a game. Of course you
can go to the Parks League and find a quarterback who can "win"
    in that scenario.

There hasn't been any talk of Houston going to the run-and-shoot has
there? I thought Pardee has a defense background.

Goodbye Doug Fruitie, er uh Flutie...

We hardly knew ye, but we did get to see your phenomenal acting
skills, both on the field, and opposite Victor Kiam:

D:	Gee Vic, this razor don't work very good...
V:	Neither do you, you little twerp

	      [CUT!!!]

D:	Oh Mr Kiam, this razor is Great!
V: Use my Remington Sawzall Razor, just like dougie
	                here...

	      [CUT -- Print it...]

And then, we got to see your ability to rub elbows with Rock stars.
How nice of you to invite Mick to practice like that...

Yeah, Doug, we'll miss you...you were good for so many laughs...

Jack Pardee used the run-n-shoot with the Houston Gamblers of the
USFL, and at the University of Houston, a/k/a Cougar High. Chris
Palmer, just hired by Pardee to join his Oilers staff, has been
head coach at Boston University for the last 2 years and has used
the run-n-shoot. I've heard and read many items stating that he
was going to use the run-n-shoot with the Oilers.

Houston just hired the BU head football coach (can't remember his name
right now...) as their Receiver's coach. At BU he installed the Run-and-Shoot
offense. He was also the Offensive Coordinator for the New Jersey Generals
when Dougie was there. The Boston Media has been circulating the idea that
he'll influence Pardee to bring Flutie to the Oilers as a backup QB...

Can't ya just see Dr. Midnight as a Flutie Fan!!!!! :-)

That was cold Jeff, real cold. But, I do have these basement windows

>No place for him in detriot (tm) ?

As far as I can assess the qb situation in detriot is Peete, gagliano and long.

Long doesn't want to be there. He can't play in the silver stretch. He should
be traded by next season.

gagliano is a journeyman qb at best who had a decent season this year. I doubt
he's the one detroit wants to call their main QB.

Peete played well this year when he was healthy. He was injured a lot. Questions
are surfacing regarding his ability to remain healthy.

IMHO the silver stretch is a system that needs 3 qb's on the roster because
they are pretty vulnerable in it. If I was in detroit I'd pick him up for a
nominal fee and give him a shot in camp.

What have they got to loose ???

Games... Perhaps as a backup, but I don't see him starting. I see
Long being traded. Gagliano knows the run and shoot and runs it
well for a backup. Don't think they need the controversy it would
    cause.

I don't know that Flutie would cause much controversy anymore Walt.
Most of the problems here came about due to this being his home,
and the partisan Flutie fans here. There can't be amny Fluitites
    in Michigan, can there ???

I cant believe all this putting down of doug flutie. Where taling
about a local hero who was capable of throwing one good hail mary pass.
I think you all just Jeolous because deep down inside you know that
more than half the people that have wrote in this note have more talant
as a qb than doug. This is still no reason to put hime down. I think
you have to be pretty talented to make millions of dollars with no
talant. Id like to have that talant, I can take a dive better than
eason and can hand a ball to stevens just as good as flutie. I guess
im ready for the NFL. (For the patriots only) Oh one more thing if I
cant make it as a QB I think Ill try out for Kicking.
