Here in Silicon Valley, we seem to be able to get them for $1.00-$1.10
    each qty 100.

I have picked some up for as little as 70pence (about $1.20?) for
    a pack of 10.

I have tried buying cheap disks in the past, they are all now used
as beer mats, for which they suit a purpose very well.

I only use Sony disks now, and have never had one fail on me (yet).
You can buy them for about 14.00 pounds for a box of ten DSDD. Very
    good value.

This might be sacriledge, but I buy my disks when they are on sale
at Lechmere. I got 3 boxes of Sony at $11.98 a box, BASF were on
sale for that price but they were out of BASF, so they substituted
SONY. Note these are double-sided double-density. I could never
see going to high quantities and most of the really cheap prices
    want quantities around 100.

The new BJs Wholesale Warehouse in Westboro is selling DSDD MEMOREX
3.5 inch diskettes for $12.49 for a box of ten. You must be a member
to buy at BJs, but being a DECcie qualifies you. Free membership
means that you pay 5% above that price. Paid membership ($30/yr?)
means you don't pay the 5% extra.
72.6A comparison from LechmereTEA::PETERSDon Peters, CTS1-2/H6, 287-3742Wed Aug 17 1988 17:3210
Just for comparison, Lechmere has periodic sales on 3.5" disks.
They had one about 4 weeks ago, and they had one last week, so they
come fairly often. Last week I bought a box of Sony DS 3.5" disks
for $16.89. I think the Sony SS disks are going for just a little
over $13. The DS price is about the same low price our Atari ST
club gets them for in bulk (boxed in 10s), which are also Sonys.
And our club couldn't buy any recently due to a shortage. But Lechmere
(the one at the Pheasant Lane mall in Nashua, NH) didn't seem to
    have a shortage of them.
