You spent the better part of a week reaming people up one side and down
the other because of the fact that they were" being PC" in "complaining
about" your assertions about the invalidity of some folks practices vs. what
you mistakenly saw as the traditions of their faith. You couldn't stand
the fact that people should mention this when, after all, the parties
that we "claimed" were offended didn't have anything to say about it
themselves. How dare we be so "PC"? Weren't those individuals "thick-
skinned" enough to stand up for themselves? "They" weren't asking YOU
to apologize, were "they"

And then you've got the audacity to turn around and say "I find the response
an insult to those in the world who are genuinely the victims of racism
and bigotry." What the hell's the matter Jack? Why do you have to be so
PC, complaining about what others are saying about victims other than
yourself? After all, the people you "claim" are the victims haven't
said anything, have they? How can you dare to be so PC? Aren't those

    Well Jack, I brought up the example of our illiterate congressman from
    New York who compared the republican school lunch program to the
    holocaust.  I believe the holocaust to be quite an adequate example of
    victimization...as over 6 million Jews were put to death.
    
    I don't believe a challenge to another persons faith equates to true
    victimization on innocent people dying.  And I'm not being PC because
    the victims of World War II are legitamately grieving over the
    occurences of the 1930s/40s.  I'm not being PC because the victims of
    the Holocaust are crying out, Never Again...whereas the supposed victim
    in Soapbox seems to be occupied with more important matters, the
    whining squad of BACK40 is alive and well though!
    
    Maybe I'm still not addressing this right...Ahhh who cares!?

    I disagree Joe. Children have certain standards taught to them from a
    very young age. When a person becomes older and decides that some of
    the things taught are nonsense, he shares this new knowledge with the
    teachers (parents, family, peers etc). These teachers of course believe
    what they taught and immediately do and say things to instill guilt
    onto the student. He feels guilty that he has gone against his
    teacher's teachings. He doesn't think he is wrong but he feels guilty
    anyway. Pretty natural I think.

    Feelings are also emotional and most often are not in line with
    reality. Notice how people make decisions based on how they feel as
    opposed to what is real. You can see that in how people react to you.
    I've seen them attack you based on an assumption they have about you.
    Then you have to defend yourself against something you don't think in
    the first place. This is what happens when decision are made based on
    feeling as opposed to thinking and reasoning.
