    	I got "Sleight of Hand" as a Christmas present over the w'end,
    	and this guy cooks!!  [Well, I guess he does ... unless he gets
    	alot of take-out food].
    
    	"Paint It Black" starts out with Guy playing the first verse of
    	"Ruby Tuesday", and then kicks into "Paint It Black" ... unbel-
    	ievable!!
    
    	For anyone who hasn't heard him, I'd describe him as such:  when
    	people hear "instrumental guitar album", they probably think "Sat-
    	riani".  Well, Satriani uses his guitar to replace the vocals in
    	his songs ... while Guy plays mostly rhythm, and does solos in the
    	songs.  Basically, you could write lyrics for most of Guy's songs
    	without removing the lead guitar work ... but Satriani plays most-
    	ly lead.
    
    	Alice Cooper and Kevin DuBrow [yeah, I KNOW you hate him ... take
    	the comments to "mutterings".  8^)] appear on the album, both do-
    	ing brief voice-overs and screams.  [Take a wild guess who got to
    	do the scream?  8^)]

	Oh yeah ... the thrash enthusiasts might even like it, since he plays to a "thrashy" bass/drum-line for alot of the songs. He's definitely worth checking out. GTI

	Sounds like a big, messy guitar hack to me. Pure garbage. He's fast, but the album is awful. JMHO...

	I'm not sure about this guy's name, but he is incredible. It's not just Yet another guitar heros. It's style is very oriented toward speed metal, very heavy and very rapid. After hearing 3 different songs on the radio, I just stayed in my chair, paralysed, like "Waow, WHAT was THAT !" The LP title is something like "Slate of End" (sp) He is really rocking hard. Anybody knows something about him. Didier PS : I'll update the title of the topic if somebody give me the right name.

	Guy Mann-Dude is an accomplished drummer turned very accomplished guitarist! He played both drums and guitar on the lp, which is called Sleight of Hand. He'll probably do a lot for speed metal, I think.

	Just picked this album up today, and it definitely cooks! Still ca'nt follow him with "On the verge", those rythyms (sp?) go all over the place! IMHO, the remake of "Paint It Black" is great, I never thought a Stones song could go Nuclear Polka! Spaceknight
