This is in reference to note 396 in IBM_IC_SUPPORT. The customer is trying to establish a link between an Domain ST and an SNI Gateway. They send out an CDINIT and get back an CDTERM with sense code 089d 0001 (The gateway node list used to select a gateway node to cross a network boundry is exhausted). The customer thinks that it is caused by the way that the SNI gateway uses virtual network addressable units to make connections. Is this a possible cause ? Any ideas ? Thanks, Jim Kelly

RE: <<< Note 920.0 by EDSCLU::KELLY >>> Jim, It sounds like a misconfiguration on the SNI Gateway side to me. We would want to look at the FAX that was sent in. Windsor will be contacting you with information from IBMLink about this sense code. Craig | |||||

After reasearch and digging thru the faxes from the customer, discovered that Customers IBM folks thought the Domain Gateway was an SNI Gateway. They fixed their NCP Gen and all works. |
