Oh yeah, just what I need to see, the inside of another court room
on TV. I'm so sick of O<freakin'>J and his various court cases that I'm
about ready to sell my TV.

    Barry,

Don't sell your TV - you won't get to see the Made-For-TV
movies when the case(s) is over!!!

Oh my god, you're right. What WAS I thinking? 8-) I don't think my
life could go on if I couldn't watch another made for TV movie about
divorce, terminal illness, or child or spouse abuse (the only subjects
that they EVER seem to make made for TeeVee moves about).

...but MORE importantly..is this the game that Capt. Raymond
becomes the B's all-time leading scorer?

I'll tell ya, in a few years when Raymond hangs 'em up, everyone
will realize what a truely GREAT player and person that Classy Ray
    really was.......

Don't need to wait a few years, most hockey fans realize NOW that
Bourque is truely special. And he won the accuracy shooting skills
contest again this year. He was a little off though, took him 7 shots
to hit the 4 targets. Used to be that he needed only 4 shots to hit 4.
Only one other player took down all targets but I don't remember who.
You know the old saying, nobody remembers who came in second.

There were 2 others who did it in 8. I thought they were both from the western
conference, but I don't remember who.

There I was, flipping thru channels last night, when I noticed the
show w/ the rich kids (Beverly Hills 90120) and remembered that I
read somewhere in here that Cam Neely would be on the show.

Neely was a great player no doubt; but he ain't no actor.....like the
rest of the bunch on that show. ;*)

I flicked by 90210 last night.....Neely is definatly no actor but
I though it was amusing. The kid from the show was in a charity game
and his arch-enemy from the show was on the other team. The
90210 kid was on Neely's team and almost got into a fight with
his enemy and went to the box for tripping, I think. Anyhow,
he gets out of the Sin Bin and scores a goal and Neely skates
over to him, pats him on the head and tells him nice shot, but
let's keep it clean and the 90210 kid says......

.....Yeah, that means a lot coming from you!

    	I had a chuckle.

115.17B's lose 3-1, Bourque ties Bucyk for B's recordSUBPAC::BJUBINVILLECMP-6 Equipment EngineeringFri Jan 31 1997 02:0930

Red-hot John Vanbiesbrouck stopped 37 shots and Radek Dvorak and
Robert Svehla scored first-period goals, leading the Florida
Panthers to their fourth straight win, 3-1 over the Boston
Bruins.

Jody Hull also scored and Ray Sheppard had two assists for
Florida, which has won four straight following a season-high
three-game losing streak. The victory moved the Panthers within
three points of first-place Philadelphia in the Atlantic
Division.

Vanbiesbrouck stopped all 14 shots in the first period, five in
the second and all 18 in the third to improve to 18-10-7. He
has been in the nets for each game during the winning streak,
allowing only five goals.

Boston went scoreless on five power-play opportunities, despite
collecting 11 shots.

Ray Bourque scored the lone goal for Boston, which has lost six
of its last eight games. Bourque's goal, a shorthanded tally,
was his 1,339th career point, tying him with John Bucyk for the
Bruins' all-time scoring lead. Bourque has 352 goals and 987
assists in 1,263 career games.

Florida has won both meetings this season to grab a 6-5-2 edge
in the all-time series.

115.18Not much of a gameDIVER1::MACHADOCrazy on a ship of foolsFri Jan 31 1997 12:0711
Ray Bourque was Boston's one highlight of the night in an otherwise
dismal effort. The only other "highlight" was the great hip check that
Rob DiMaio handed out. Only problem was that he nailed Josef Stumpel.
It was a shame to see such a great hit wasted on a teammate. Somebody's
gonna hafta sit this boy down and let him know that it's the guys in
the other color jerseys that you're supposed to be hitting like that.
Did Stumpel return after that? He went to the bench looking like he was
hurt. I hope it wasn't anything serious.

...congrats to CLassy Ray Bourque, tied with Johnny Bucyk...
Raymond becomes the ONLY team-leading scorer (all-time) that is
    a defenseman....way to go, Cap't Raymond!!!!!

and Barry, speaking about hits, who can EVER forget the open-ice
hip checks that The Chief, Johhny Bucyk, used to dish out in his
days, eh? I can see 'em now.....ahhh, memories, memories...
    (or is dat "mamories"???)

Well, the one thing I can salvage out of last night is
this piece of philosophical enlightenment..

Bruins used to be one of them teams that knew, they
could find a way to win... This year, they're one
of them teams that know they're gonna find a way
to loose..

I-yi-yi,.,. More missed shots last night, way too many,
Beezer's job is made real easy when half the shots the
other team takes are either blocked, or flat out missed.
Panthers still set the best picks in hockey, too
bad that's actually interference, but the officials
are so piss poor that teams that want to maintain
that style, can get away with it but just doing it ALL
THE TIME!

Flordia really didn't have to work too hard for that win.
Tallas lets in three softies, and about all they had to do,
was sit back and watch the b's self destruct. The four
day layoff left alot of rust..

I don't know what people see in Stumple, and why everyone
in the B's Mgmt is waiting for this kid to BLOSSOM.
He's about as bad a puck handler/passer as the
B's have ever had.

Now, if Bourque can get one more point, al the hype
will be over... I gotta think this is somethink Ray
just want's to get over and done with. Break the
record, and set a new one, and then get on with
life.

this has been one huge suck season, and Kasper is right
at the center of it. Totally inept.. this team plays
with ZERO heart...

I guess I'm jess a bit grumpy today..
