1531.0. "Modify User Setup damages DDS subscriber entry....." by BACHUS::AUSSIE (Thank God for Fridays) Wed Sep 30 1992 11:55

Hi all,

A customer reported to the following.

He is running ALL-IN-1 IOS 2.4 and MR 3.2.

If an ALL-IN-1 user modifies their internal telephone
number within the US SPD option in ALL-IN-1 more than
just the DDS Internal telephone number is modified in
	DDS.

I did the following test using ALL-IN-1 IOS 3.0 and
	MR 3.2-218.

I modified my internal phone from 8737 to 8016. The
next two DDS records show before and after. Not quite
	the same are they.

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SUBSCRIBER ENTRIES ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN
	THE FIRST ENTRY WITH *************

	What's going on here......

    Quite simple really .. it's a bug.

The inability of ALL-IN-1 to handle multiple O/R addresses was release
    noted in ALL-IN-1 v2.3 (1989). It doesn't appear in the v2.4 or v3.0
release notes and I don't believe it was fixed in ALL-IN-1 v3.0 so
you might like to SPR it.

1531.2Is this the same problemBGO01::ARNEMArne Moe @NWO - Digital Services NorwayMon Nov 09 1992 18:1522
Hi.

I have a simular problem as in -.0

We have a customer who uses ALL-IN-1 IOS 2.4 and MR 3.1 s-kit.

If this site does a modify then after the modify, the user who
was modified have a new secondary MHS/VMS MHS mailbox changed
from x.400 address to a1 mbx address. They also have a second
site with the same configuration/site customizations, and there
it's no probl.

I'll try to get a subscriber trace available 09/11, and then
there will be one from the system that's ok, and one from the
bad one.

Is this info too little to say if it's the same bug or ???

    Arne,

It looks like a different symptom of the same problem. You might
    like to submit an SPR.
