    Problems with K603 patch.
    
    Did everything by the book.  I deferred linking until after I installed
    the patch.  Didn't need to reun missing_elements.com or
    K602_post_install.com.
    
    I'm now at the point where I'm trying to relink, by running @A1LNKDRV.
    I get errors when it tries to link the background formatter:
    
    multiple (about 100) %LINK-I-UDFSYM,  on such symbols as
    BTL$MAIL_RECEIVE, CXP$GA_EOD, DP_AMBIG_KEY, KOA$HEAP_SIZE, OA$AI_CHECK,
    etc.  These also have "(Weak Reference)" at the end of each message.
     
    multiple (about 8)   %LINK-W-USEUNDEF, on such symbols as
    SMB$SEND_TO_JOBCTL, SMB$INITIALIZE, SMB$READ_MESSAGE,
    SMB$READ_MESSAGE_ITEM, SMB$_NOMOREITEMS
    
    Then, when I try to start the OA$FORMATTER queue, it bombs with a
    SEND_JBC error.
    
    Any ideas?

    	Is there a logical SMBSRVSHR defined on the system (possibly by a
    	WordPerfect integration) ?
    
    	If so, $DEASSIGN the logical and re-link. Reassign the logical
    	after the relink.

    Yes, that fixed that problem...
    
    
    Now what about a re-link error after the WPS-PLUS v4.0 install (one of
    the post-installation steps)?  
    THe errors are in the linking of the OA$MAIN image.  It complains about
    not finding such files as FMTDRIVE, A1PDATA, PICPRIM, etc in
    WPAPRINT.OLB, plus a whole bunch of weak references.
    
    Any hints?

    You're still attempting to link against WPS-PLUS v3.1. Look for a
    customised A1LINK.COM in the SITE areas put there probably by
    WPCORP.
    
    Blow it away - relink from OA$BUILD_SHARE with the "new" A1LINK.COM
    provided by the WPS-PLUS v4 Option KIt and all will be well with the
    world.
