273.0. "TWO-HEADED VMS DECW WS?" by HOTAIR::BOYLES () Wed Feb 22 1989 16:37

    Is it possible to have a two-headed VMS Decwindows workstation?

    Has anyone out there done it?

    Any idea on memory requirements (if possible).

    Thanks.

Gary,

It's been done, and is being done. It is not supported in V1.0. If you have
product requirements for it begin a supported functionality, document the
requirement and send it to Paul (STAR::Steeves), he is/was compiling a list of
folks who needed it. The procedures have been documented in several places in
the old notesfile, but good luck finding them. VAXMail me at CALVIN::weaver if
you really need the information quickly (it may not work at all in SDC), but
please use appropriate channels for anything you plan on talking to customers
about.

Dual head and dual seat is an inherent capability of most servers which were
shipped on the X11r3 tapes, whether it winds up as a product, and/or when
depends upon how seriously the demand crops up. You might also put your
requirement for it in the wishlist topic.
