91.1 | Help for a "Flat Land Tourister". | AWECIM::FLOYD | | Thu Nov 21 1991 18:51 | 10 |
| I'd like to sign up but/and I know nothing about fishing the northeast.
I have moved in from Arizona this spring and have not taken the time to wet a
line. So I'm looking for a "Mentor" to get to know the area fish/tackle/bait.
Any takers??

Add Dave "SOUPY" Campbell to the list. I went by A1 on the 26th and
there was about 20 people ice fishing. Went by again today and saw
a lot of open water. Hope the day time temps drop for the next
couple of weeks to lock the place in. Anyone have any luck
anywhere? I heard of a 20# pike being taken thru the ice but I
don't remember where.

91.31 | The final Results | PACKER::PACKER::BACZKO | Now, for some fishin' | Mon Jan 20 1992 17:07 | 22 |
| THE RESULTS ARE IN!!!!
A Blast from the past takes first and ties.
Thats right an ex DECie commonly called the wood chuck or SLAMMASTER
took the honors with a 3lb 1 oz large mouth,
For those of you who cant figure out who the winner is it was Dave
Sullivan.
Gus Surrette and Johnny Roach tied for second with 1 lb. 3 oz
largemouths.
The only other fish caught that I heard about was from Jim Brindisi a 1
lb 1 0z large mouth. Fishing was real SLOOOOOOW. We had 29 entries
and a good time was had by all. We managed to stay out of the wind
completely but others faced the gale winds. There was a group out on
the island fishing the stumps dead in the wind. The theory was, so I
heard, that the wind would blow the bait fish in improving there
chances. 8>)
See you next year
