Does anyone have the waterfowl/migratory dates for VT?
Thanks,
Michael

RE: .2 , I appreciate the NH waterfowl dates very much. I would like
to point out though that the Inland Duck season does open on the 6th,
not the 10th. I just got my regs. from State of NH. Thanks again for
putting them in for all of us.
RE: .3 I have all of the regs. for Vt. and will input them probably
the beginning of next week. A snapshot of the Vt. season is once again
it is split season. Total 40 days this year vs. 30 last. Inland season
starts Oct. 8th. Lake Champlain season starts Oct. 15th. I'll put the
rest in hopefully Monday. I'm headed up this weekend for the Ducks
Unlimited Banquet in Montpelier and then up to Champlain to get my boat
blind ready and our rock blind on our Island. Enough for now./John

1386.5 | Mass dates correct only 9 days? | 58323::BROSNIHAN | | Thu Sep 15 1994 13:51 | 5 |
| Are the dates correct for Mass? It says the first part of the
season is only 9 days, 13th thru 22nd. I checked last years dates and
it ran into November.

| Thanks to .4 for catching my transcription error (10/10 rather than 10/6).
Honest, I wasn't really trying to hog all the ducks for myself :)
I knew I couldn't get the info all in without at least one mistake. I
would be surprised if that was the only one.

| Guys,
Well, I finally got to experiance duck hunting with decoys last
weekend. I was down in Western Ky at Lake Barkley and a buddy took me
to "death" island on Lake Barkley. We hunted out of a blind after
putting out about 7 dozen duck and 3-4 dozen goose decoys. We had a
single drake mallard buzz by at about 50 yards. I spotted him coming
in about 1/4 mile out and one of the guys dropped him at 50yards!
After seeing about a hundred diver ducks fly by out of range for about
30 minutes a flock of 13 mallards locked up and decided to drop on in,
we took 4 out of the flock. A little while later a pair of American
Wigeon bluzzed us and they decided to join the others in our blind.
We finished the day with 4 drake mallards, the pair of wigeon, a
canvasback, a pair of bluebills and a diver.
Those guys had it down to a science. They had a portable tv, a grill
set up for shrimp shish-ka-bobs, white bean soup, deer loin, etc. We
had three flocks of geese go by, but they were all shy high.
I was glad I had the opportunity to go.
