Conference vaxcat::friends

    Well, since I created this note I guess I had better say something! :^)
    There are so many new faces in here, so half of you won't know who I am
    :^( 
    
    But today I found out that I am getting "the package". I could not be a
    happier little vegemite! I leave Digital on 30th June & then fly out to
    England on 24th July from there we (I am going with a couple of
    friends) are going to have a look around Ireland & then go back to
    England to work. 
    
    I am going to meet up with Melissa Gallagher (Bliss) in October. We
    will have a pint or two or three ... ;^) 
    
    It would be great to hear from you all & to meet up with other people!
    :^)

Fear not >M<, I might be in your building 8^) No new contracts will be signed
until the transfer and they've shown significant interest.

Something Chico asked/mentioned in mail... People should be aware that this move
is MY choosing. I decided it was time to move on since this contract wasn't
allowing me to grow (read: I'm bored silly) and I have an hour commute each way.
Between the core business and such, I'm trying to find something closer to home,
doable at home or part time so I can continue to grow the core business.

I manufacture foam model airplane wings using a computerized hotwire cutter I
designed, built, and programmed. If you have access to Unix, you can "finger" me
at racores@world.std.com@gatekeeper.dec.com and my .plan has the latest info on
products.

One nice thing about the contracts I have pending is they are consistantly 15-20
minutes closer to home.

I just landed a core cutting contract with a big manufacturer which is worth
about 1/2 my day salary so I'm looking at doing it more fulltime in the near
future. One of the benefits with contracting is I can always take something
parttime to supplement my income or go back fulltime if it doesn't work out.

    Well guys, the end of September approaches rapidly.  My PC goes back to
    Digital tomorrow, and I'm not sure exactly when my mail account will
    disappear - my official last day is Friday, but I am doing the 'exit'
    interview tomorrow.

                 I will enter my good bye here. Today Albuquerque has
    shipped its last workstation that it will ever make. Next week all the
    test equipment and this monitor get packed up to be shipped out of
    here. For all intense and purposes we are now officially out of
    business. Just a few minor details and the doors will close permanently
    here. 18 years 1 month and one week is what I lasted, and now it ends.
    I had fun in here. I will miss the folks but not the company, at least
    not the company Digital has become.

    Best of luck to all of you here in ::FRIENDS. I certainly hope it gets
    better for Digital.
