Hostess Cakes etc. will be putting out a 32 card set this year. 1 card per product. 16 cards will be released before the All-Star game and 16 new cards after the All-Star game. Hostess has one of those outlet places in Fitchburg where you can pick this stuff up cheap and then you can give the cupcakes etc. to one of those places that feed the homeless. John

The wife picked up two boxes of a new Hostess product called "Baseballs". They're white cup cakes with white frosting and red stitching on the frosting so they resemble baseballs. It looks like these are the only product that will have the cards, but you get six per box. The cards aren't bad, blue diagonal striped borders and the cards have logos so they aren't airbrushed. I got two Frank Thomas's out of the packs I opened. John | |||||

I bought some over the weekend and they look pretty good. I also noticed that they didn't (air brush) the name on the caps,it sort of makes the cards look official. When Wonder bread came out with the cards in 1990 they looked cheap compared to these cards. On the weekends I used to go to the outlet and buy 20 or 30 loafs then feed the bread to the birds at the park. Well looks like the kids and neighbors are going to have alot of cupcakes for lunches and snacks.... ............. ;-) John M. |
