I have looked but I don't think there is a topic for nicknames so here goes.
I was in a pub with a Sandhurst Officer Cadet. By accident we met up with a
medic who had just returned from ther Gulf.
During the conversation they kept refering to, and people who worked for,
Schwepps (a soft drinks company!). I asked who they were refering to. I was
informed that this was a nickname for any of the Special Forces, SAS etc.
I just had to ask why, and was told...
Shhh, you know who !
Which is, if you didn't know, the advertising catch phrase for the Drinks
company.
