72.0. "help to find a colonel" by SHIRE::GREPPIN (pinpin) Thu Feb 15 1990 11:35

    Hi,

    My name is Yves Greppin (SHIRE::GREPPIN), alocated in EHQ Geneva.

    I am looking for some help to find an old friend in the USA who was
    living in Switzerland 20 years ago.
    This chap was a Colonel US Army retired in Montreux Switzerland. After
    6 years spent there he moves with his familly to Germany in the
    Heidelberg US base. Then : no more news!

    Hi name is John B. STOCKTON

    Could help me in finding where is back in the US ? Which organization I
    may contact for information, in Europe, In the US ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Yves

    Yves,

    Its not clear from your message exactly where he may have gone. If he
    was retired from the USArmy, there is no real relationship between
    him and the Army. If he moved from Switzerland to Hiedelberg FRG
    and stopped corresponding with you, have your letters been returned?
    What did they say (moved no forwarding etc..)? You seem to indicate
    that you think he is currently in the USA. In order to help you, we
    would have to know where.

72.2Maybe in Fort Lauderdale ??SHIRE::GREPPINpinpinTue Feb 20 1990 15:5014

    Bob,

    Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I do realize that I am vague in the
    information provided.
    In 1974 he left from Montreux (CH) to Heidelberg (GY). I knew that he
    was in charge of F&B for the Heidelberg US basis.
    The letters never come back and I never recieved any info on his next
    location . I am guessing that he can be in Fort Lauderdale in Florida
    has he was mentionning this place in the last discussions we had.

    Thanks for the help. Regards,
    Yves
