420.0. "pet fair" by NAVIER::BRODEUR () Mon Sep 24 1990 03:30

    Looking for someone to represent bird care (with or without real
    birds) at my groups "Pet Care Fair". We are a non-profit group
    trying to raise the publics awareness about the responsibility
    of having pets and what happens to abndoned pets. The fair will
    have vets, animal services reps, animal rights groups, local
    abandoned animal groups, shows for the kids and other animal
    related things going on. Like any fair(it's indoors) people
    are coming thru a hll with many tables set up by the various
    groups and in general will be asking questions about their
    interests or just curious about any animals that are there.
    We have lots of cat related issues represented with dogs also
    doing ok, but we need someone to represent birds as pets with
    the do and don't type of info availableto the passer by
    (mostly children). The fair is in Concord and I can send more
    inf if your interested, its very low pressure and fun for
    the participants to meet other animal-pet enthusiasts.

420.3POSSIBLE ALTERNATIVESBRAT::BOURGAULTThu Sep 27 1990 20:4711
    You might try Dr. Al Decoteau. He is an authority on birds and
    has written several books and training videos. He is located
    in Nashua N.H.  Tele: 603-878-4391.

    If he is not available our club president Marty Letourneau might
    be. His name and phone number is listed in the notes file under
    breeders.

    Best of luck,

    Denise B.

    When is it and what type of talent do you need? I have a selection
    of birds that I can offer and some were adopted from abused
    environments. Please let me know how I can get in touch with you
    to discuss this further.

    Regards,
